exploring with Keri Smith
For a few years, the Donahues have been enjoying the work of Keri Smith. You may have seen her books in your local book store. We have destroyed many of them again and again and always look forward to her new releases. Keri builds on a persons strengths and creativity, find a way to tweak that spark and encourages her readers to wander through the world. Along the way, her books get you interacting with the world, learning from the input messages that the world provides and then finding your own particular place in that world. Here are some of our blogs about her books in the past.

So, I guess you could say we are big fans. However, none of us could believe what we found in the mailbox today…
and this was written inside!!!
So, we are pretty excited… The Wild Donahues are taking to the challenge, as presented in Smith’s newest book, Finish This Book. I will post updates as time goes along. So far, we are off to a great start! Each kiddo has their own travelling explorer kit. I have never seen kids so excited about interacting with a book. Ms. Smith just has a knack for getting people involved.
I mean, look at what this person did after reading a challenge in Keri Smith’s book - Wreck This Journal:
