Hey there, Folks!
The Wild Donahues are really excited to invite you to join us this upcoming
Saturday (July 28), from 10 AM until 1 PM for a morning of adventuring
in one our our areas greatest parks! Fishburn Park!
We’ll gather together for a story, spend some time in (WEAR SHOES THAT CAN GET WET!) and along the creek
and then invite everyone to seek shade in the trees as we walk along the lovely hiking trails there at the Fishburn Park.
Come on out and meet some fine folks, get to know the area a little better and have some fun.
Remember, KIVA is a free nature club for families in the Roanoke Valley, but we do require you to stay and make a memory with your child(ren). We are looking forward to adventuring with you! Here is a map to help you find this adventurous spot:
Can’t make it, we understand. Some days we can’t make it to our own things! Try to get out to Fishburn Park sometime on your own or with your family. That’s our main goal anyway, to showcase the lovely parks
of the Roanoke Valley.
Also, please consider taking a moment to visit our GOOD Magazine Challenge page at http://maker.good.is/projects/kivalnt. GOOD Magazine is giving away $5,000 to the top voted idea over the next two weeks. We’d like to use that money to get have more families experience the joys of overnight camping in the area. We would create a lending library and provide opportunities throughout the year for families to learn LNT practices on the trail! Consider voting for our idea today!
