Just a note to let you know about our tea party on the AT this last Saturday. What a fine adventure it was! Acorn whistles, rock scrambling, hot tea and snow flurries, now that’s a KIVA!Check out the photos from our event gallery here:
This is a wonderful, short hike to a lovely overlook. We have revisited it many times this past year, just in hopes of catching the sunset after school. You can find more details at the website at www.kidsadventuring.org.
We would like to thank the folks at STASH Teas, who donated four boxes of yummy tea and certainly the families who came along.
Ashley and I are also very thankful for the wonderful photographers who came out with us to capture the event.
Mr. Kyle Green, photographer for the Roanoke Times and freelancer for USA Today, was mightily impressed by our crew’s spirit of adventure. We’ll let you know when the story about the story runs, sometime in April.
and certainly,
Mr. Jon Beard, photographer extraordinaire! Jon has collected photographs for us for three years now. Just check out the amazing gallery he has established. If you ever wanted to know what a park looks like before you take your family, this is the place to start.

Join us next time, when you’ll hear Chip say…
“Free Starbucks snacks and coffee, if you’ll help us clean up the park!”
Happy Spring everyone! As always, we would love to hear your ideas for an adventure. Check out www.kidsadventuring.org for upcoming events!
