A few weeks back, the Donahues were stuck in the house, sick and miserable. And yet, we were so happy because we were forced to take it easy and catch up on some items that we had received for previewing for www.kidsadventuring.org.
Well, the Wild Donahues are back on our feet, taking on the world once again. But [...]
Walkabout Outfitter has been an incredible supporter of Kids In the Valley, Adventuring!. We were so pleased to see them talking about their success on our local news station. Support your local retailer! Families, remember that your local retailer is an excellent resource for local outdoor ideas, as well as the gear you will need on the [...]
Last year, we decided that we needed to spend more time at home. I got a bit caught up in all the great things going on in our area and was trying to get to all of them. We had lots of great experiences, but we were finding that our kids didn’t really see home [...]

Here is a note from John Bryant of the Roanoke Natural Foods Co-op, thanking those who came to the Wasena Park clean up yesterday:

Morning chores, getting kids ready, work, school, [...]
Before we review the new Billy Kelly cd - The Family Garden, I just had to share this song so you could get it stuck in your head too!
The Donahues are a hearty crew. We tend to hang tough. But this last round of the fever really knocked us for a loop. My kids, who are normally a blur from morning to night, sat and rested. Really rested for most of the day. Well, not at the same time of course. One would [...]
